My Story

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Alexandra Athon Diamant, a passionate MS Journalism student at the University of Southern California (USC), with a deep love for the intersection of sports and fashion. Let me take you on a journey through my background and experiences that have shaped my perspective on this dynamic and ever-evolving world.

I am currently immersed in the vibrant world of journalism, pursuing my Master's degree at USC. However, my academic journey didn't start here. I earned my undergraduate degree from UCLA, where I studied Philosophy and The Study of Religion. This diverse academic foundation has equipped me with a unique lens through which I approach the intricate connections between different facets of life.

I am no stranger to the incredible sports scene in Los Angeles, entering my third year working in this unique environment. My journey began with UCLA Athletic Communications, where I got a firsthand look at the inner workings of collegiate sports. I parlayed that experience to working with the Los Angeles Chargers, gaining insights into the professional football landscape. The Pac-12 and USC Athletics also became part of my professional tapestry, offering me a well-rounded understanding of the diverse dynamics within sports organizations and the athletes within them.

My passion for sports extends beyond the field or court. While at UCLA, I had the exciting opportunity to host a show on UCLA Radio, where I explored the fascinating intersection of sports and fashion. This experience allowed me to delve into the creative and expressive side of sports, uncovering the symbiotic relationship between athletes and art.

A native of Davis, CA, I bring a touch of Northern California to the vibrant energy of Los Angeles. The contrasting landscapes have shaped my worldview and enriched my understanding of the diverse communities that make up our golden state.

As I embark on this blogging journey, as a part of my Sports and Society class with Alan Abrahamson, I am eager to explore and express the captivating world of sports and fashion.
