In a way, with these past few weeks of me not being in class, my blog has turned into much more of an extension of therapy than a dedication to the intersection of the world of sports and fashion.
This week, I really want to get back to that, but am feeling slightly uninspired by what's going on right now.
LVMH is the largest local sponsor of the 2024 Paris Games.
And with the unveiling of the Louis Vuitton trunks that will carry the Olympic and Paralympic medals and torches, the fashion house just hosted a cocktail party at its historic home/museum in Asnières-sur-Seine, just a few miles out of Paris.

For the most part, this would all be so exciting for me and something that I would want to delve into and write about, but something is leaving me uninspired.
Then there’s F1. The season started with a bang, from the surprising rise of Ollie Bearman to the sexual abuse scandal involving Christian Horner of Red Bull.
March just ended and South Carolina and UConn just won Natty’s. I’d be lying to say I didn’t want the UConn Men’s and Women’s teams or NC State’s Men’s and Women’s teams to clinch the Natty. But all in all, there’s been enough discussion around March if we are going to BFFR.
The NHL playoffs are around the corner and it’s looking like the Rangers are going to scoop the Presidents Trophy, but they do only hold a three point lead over the Bruins and Stars with four games left in the season.
Speaking of the Rangers, in their 3-2 shootout win in Colorado, Aves defenseman Nathan MacKinnon’s 35-home game point streak was snapped. It has been argued that he should have been awarded an assist on the goal to tie up the game.
Nonetheless, MacKinnon now holds the second longest home game point streak, sitting behind Wayne Gretzky who tallied 40 in the 1988-89 season.
Had his streak continued through the end of the season, MacKinnon would have had 41, edging out The Great One for the longest home game point streak.
In the fashion world, the Met Gala is less than a month away. The theme this year is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” how iconic. Truly, I cannot wait to see the looks, the carpet, everything, especially as Zendaya is a co-chair of the 2024 event.
Other relevant news in this world includes Valentino bringing on Alessandro Michele as its creative director. He led Gucci in their rise to becoming a $10 billion powerhouse in the fashion industry with his baroque designs. He left the fashion house in 2022, taking nearly a two year hiatus before his newest appointment.
His first line with Valentino will be featured this September at Paris Fashion Week.
Staying on the same thread, for Versace, Cillian Murphy and Anne Hathaway are leading a campaign for the fashion house titled “Versace Icons”. The Oscar winning duo, known respectively for their elegant and timeless red carpet looks, shot with Mert & Marcus to capture the simple, sleek, and classic campaign.
Lastly, to reconnect to the intentions of this blog as a whole, and this is nothing terribly new, but F1’s sweetheart, Danny Ric, has one of the most incredible clothing brands. Enchanté, which translates to delight, officially launched in the fall of 2023 offering limited edition drops that often correspond to the season or an F1 track location.

The Aussie, has masterfully combined a vintage classic feel mixed with contemporary modern that leaves a feeling of warmth and wonder when looking through the brand's site. There is something unique about this brand, especially as it comes from a sports superstar. It’s elevated yet casual, and serves as a space for artistry, creativity, and pretention to flourish.
